The Ballarat mayor has revealed he’s planning to reach out to Jacinta Allan, after her comments on the alleged disappearance and deaths of three Ballarat women in the last three months.

Des Hudson says while the issue of gender-based violence isn’t contained to Ballarat, something needs to be done.

“In terms of that behaviour, thinking that it’s an okay thing to do, is just mind-boggling, and our community is once again devastated and left to pick up the pieces,” he told Tom Elliott.
