Dettol took out the top position on the list, which is in it’s 23rd year.
Band-Aid came in as second-most trusted, followed by Bunnings Warehouse in third and Cadbury in fourth.
Many of the brands that made the top 20 share a theme — they’re medically-based. Along with Dettol and Band-Aid, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, Cancer Council, Panadol, and Vicks also made the list.
Managing editor of Reader’s Digest, Zoe Meunier, says it’s not surprising medical brands rated so highly.
“Those brands that sort of keep us safe and offer a measure of protection, they always do seem to do well. Especially those ones we have grown up with,” she said.
