Australian onboard plane diverted due to Middle East crisis provides update

An Australian flying home from Europe has been delayed due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Middle East.

QR146 from Barcelona to Doha was diverted to Dammam in Saudi Arabia as airspace was closed to the escalating conflict as Iran launched another attack on Irael

Shelley Mackie – who is on the plane – provided a statement to 3AW Breakfast shortly before her aircraft departed Dammam.

“We don’t know where we are going yet,” she told 3AW.
