Australia set to become the first country to eradicate this cancer
Australia will become the first country in the world to eliminate cervical cancer.
We’re on track to be rid of the cancer in 2028 — seven years earlier than expected.
Executive director at the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer, Professor Marion Saville, says it’s “so exciting to have a cancer we can almost entirely prevent”.
