Australia’s first roasting champion Jack Allisey chats to Denis Walter

Melburnians know good coffee. 

And one of our own, Jack Allisey from Veneziano, has been named as Australia’s first roasting champion at the 2017 Australian Barista Championships. 

At just 27, he says he fell into it, but he’s found his calling.

‘I started roasting coffee eight years ago, satright out of school, I didn’t want to follow the traditional route,’ he told Denis Walter.
