Australia pays $800 million dollars in pensions to people who live overseas.
Neil Mitchell spoke with Joe Caputo, the Chairperson of the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia.
He says pensioners have a right to leave the country and still receive their entitlements.
Neil says – ‘But if you go and live somewhere else, you have to justify it?’
Joe says we (Australia) receive more money from Italy/Italian Australian’s than we actually send out.
