Australia launches push to lure back Chinese tourists
Tourism Australia is launching a campaign to lure Chinese tourists back to the country.
It comes after the pandemic and years of hostility between governments decimated the $12 billion tourism sector.
Professor of practice at the Griffith Institute for Tourism, Daniel Gschwind, says it’s “enormously important” that Australia attracts Chinese tourists again.

“Before COVID they were the biggest spending country per person,” Mr Gschwind told Ross and Russel.
