Aunty Jill Gallagher weighs in on treaty negotiations between the state government and Indigenous Victorians

Aunty Jill Gallagher has revealed reparations should be on the table, while negotiations take place for a potential treaty between the Victorian government and Indigenous Victorians.

The former inaugural Treaty Advancement Commissioner says reparations wouldn’t necessarily be in the form of money.

“Might be in the way of land, but definitely not private land … no one is going to lose their private land,” she told Tom Elliott.
