Attempted robbery at North Melbourne bank

Police are investigating two armed robberies in North Melbourne this afternoon.

Caller Ray told Tom Elliott he saw a man enter a bank on Errol Street but left empty-handed around 2:35 this afternoon.

He then entered a supermarket on Queensberry street and stole a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot.
