After listener Frank called in last week to ask how deja vu works, neurologist and director at the Epilepsy Research Centre, Sam Berkovic, provided the answer.

“It’s a little glitch in the brain … Deja vu is a glitch in the memory system which resides in the temporal lobes … and when that has a glitch like that we get – very commonly – deja vu.”
