Anthony Albanese unveils new federal cabinet
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has just unveiled the new federal government ministry.
Labor has secured enough seats to govern in its own right, after retaining the Melbourne electorate of Macnamara.
The new ministers will be officially sworn in on Wednesday.

- Dr Jim Chalmers – Treasurer.
- Penny Wong – Foreign Affairs Minister.
- Katy Gallagher – Minister for Women.
- Jason Clare – Education Minister.
- Don Farrell – Deputy Senate leader, Minister for Trade.
- Tanya Plibersek – Minister for Environment and Water.
- Bill Shorten – Minister for NDIS, Government Services.
- Clare O’Neil – Home Affairs Minister.
- Murray Watt – Agriculture Minister.
- Anika Wells – Aged Care Minister.
- Chris Bowen – Minister for Climate Change.
Mr Albanese says it’s the largest number of women to serve in cabinet.
