Another high-end designer boutique in Melbourne’s CBD targeted by thieves

Another high-end Melbourne store has been targeted by thieves in Melbourne’s CBD, this time smashing the glass display windows of the FENDI boutique on Collins Street, as first reported on the Rumour File this morning.
3AW police reporter Madelaine Burke is on the scene and had the latest details on what occurred.

It comes after the nearby DIOR boutique on Collins Street was again targeted by thieves last month, in an early morning ram raid.
“We’ve got the tobacco wars, maybe designer handbags are the new trend for Melbourne’s criminals,” she told Ross and Russel.
Police have confirmed roller doors prevented the burglars from accessing the store therefore nothing was stolen.
The offenders fled the scene in two vehicles last seen travelling south along St Kilda Road.
