Another disturbing attack on a speed camera operator

There has been another disturbing attack on a speed camera operator.

The mobile speed camera operator was on the side of the Bellarine Highway in Point Lonsdale at about 8.50pm last night when the attack occurred.

Police say an offender approached the stationery vehicle and smashed the windows before slashing all four tyres.

The camera operator managed to drive away and was not injured.

The attack is the latest in a spate of attacks on speed camera operators in Victoria in recent months.

Superintendent David Griffin, Road Policing Enforcement Division, said it was incredibly troubling.

“It’s obviously very concerning,” he said.
