Cycling legend and Australia’s Chef de Mission for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Anna Meares, has detailed her excitement for the Australian athletes who will compete in the Games next year.

Australia won 99 medals at the Tokyo Games in 2021, a tally Meares thought was “exceptional”, but there’ll be no medal target set for next year’s Games, something the former cyclist would’ve loved when she was competing.

“I know what that pressure and expectation feels like on the other side that alone, trying to have a race within a race,” Meares told Ross and Russel.
