Anglesea residents rally to save caravan park

Anglesea residents have braved the elements in support of a local caravan park. 

As heard on 3AW Drive during the week, the Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park will close its doors after 21 years after losing a bid to renew its lease.

Now, residents are fighting back.

Channel 7’s Kristy Mayr told Mark Hawthorne ‘torrential’ rain couldn’t stop the rally.

‘People are feeling really passionate about this,’ Ms Mayr said.

‘All they really have is public support and people power.

‘They’re calling for the decision to be set aside a for a fully independent body to come in and oversee the tender process.’
