Ambulance Victoria responds to paramedic’s comments following dramatic ambulance rollover

Ambulance Victoria has responded to paramedic Jim’s comments made on 3AW Mornings earlier.

Jim said he felt “discredited” by Ambulance Victoria’s statement which claimed he didn’t work an 18-hour shift before being involved in a dramatic rollover in the Hume region last week.

Executive Director of Regional Operations at Ambulance Victoria, Danielle North, told Heidi Murphy “we certainly don’t roster paramedics for 18 hours, that’s absolutely outside of our process and procedures”.

“It’s very concerning to hear Jim’s experience and we are wanting to understand that further,” Ms North said.

“That was certainly not the intent to cause any distress.”
