Alternative plan unveiled to help solve housing crisis
An urban planner has unveiled an alternative plan to ensure Victoria’s growing population is catered for.
The Herald Sun is reporting up to 400,000 suburban homes would be eligible to be demolished to make way for new high rise towers across inner Melbourne.
“Our plan is to still take advantage of people wanting to live close to trams and trains,” Planner and urban designed Mike Scott told Ross and Russ.

“There are ways of doing this redevelopment which doesn’t involve demolishing large numbers of heritage buildings and replace them with high rise.”
