Alexander Zverev heckling ‘ruined it for everyone’ according to Australian Open boss
Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley says the heckling of Australian Open finalist Alexander Zverev “ruined it for everyone” but praised the behaviour of the record crowds that attended this year’s event.
Zverev, who has been embroiled in domestic violence allegations in recent years, was shouted out by one individual in the crowd shortly after losing to Jannik Sinner in Sunday night’s final.
Mr Tiley said he was pleased to see the woman swiftly removed from Rod Laver Arena.

“If anyone comes on-site and tries to be disruptive and make a point – they’re not welcome and we don’t want them there,” he said on 3AW Afternoons.
“That incident last night (with the heckling) ruined it for everyone….she was removed from the site and rightfully so.”
