Alastair Clarkson makes decision on coaching future
Alastair Clarkson has made a decision on his AFL coaching future.
The four-time premiership coach has committed to coaching North Melbourne next season for the next five years.
He was also being pursued by the Essendon Football Club.
Clarkson said he was excited by the opportunity to coach the club he played at and came to his decision about 7.30pm on Thursday night.
North Melbourne great Corey McKernan says it’s “a great day” for the Roos.
“It gives us all hope,” he told Neil Mitchell.
“To have someone like Alastair come and lead the football club, I think all the Kangaroos fans out there that really copped it this year can stand a bit taller.”
