AFL umpires boss foreshadows rise in deliberate out-of-bounds free kicks
Expect to see a few more deliberate out-of-bounds decisions paid in 2016.
Umpires boss Wayne Campbell has told Sports Today the player disposing of the ball will no longer have the benefit of the doubt.
‘Last year, if it probably was (deliberate), I reckon we didn’t pay it,’ Campbell said.
‘I reckon next year if it probably was, we’ll pay it.’
Campbell also said a centralised ‘bunker’ for reviewing goals would ‘eventually’ happen.
