AFL players to face possible three-month ban and $10,000 fine under new illicit drugs policy
The AFL is on the verge of revealing its new illicit drugs policy, says Caroline Wilson.
She said on Sports Today players who tested positive twice would face a four-game suspension and $5000 fine.
Any player who reoffends after that is set to be subject to a three month ban and whopping $10,000 fine.
‘The AFL and AFLPA are so close to a resolution now,’ Caro said on 3AW.
‘We will potentially have a result of the new illicit drugs policy, certainly before the majority of players go on holidays which is next week.’
