AFL ‘dancing around’ Bailey Scott 50m penalty controversy according to Matthew Lloyd
Matthew Lloyd says North Melbourne’s Bailey Scott should’ve been handed a 50m penalty late in Sunday’s game as debate rages on one of the most controversial umpiring moments of the season.
Beau McCreery and Steele Sidebottom both appeared to encroach after Scott’s mark in Collingwood’s one-point victory at Marvel Stadium, with the AFL conceding on Monday the umpire should’ve called play on quicker, leading to the confusion which followed.

“He should’ve got a free kick,” Lloyd said on Wide World of Sports.
“He played on after he sees the umpire not reacting, the (AFL) is dancing around this one.”
