Adam Cooney predicts big things from Bomber recruit Darcy Parish

Adam Cooney has tipped new recruit Darcy Parish to shine early in his career.

The Essendon midfielder likened Parish to one of his former teammates at Bulldogs.

‘As soon as Marcus Bontempelli walked through the door, you knew he was going to make an impact straight away,’ Cooney told Sports Today on Thursday.

‘It was a bit like that with Darcy Parish. When he’s got the footy in his hands, he really uses it well.

‘I think we’ll see him pretty early on.’

Cooney said his troublesome knee has held up well, and last year’s hamstring injuries haven’t affected his pace.
