The ACCC is seeking a record fine as it launches legal action against Qantas.

ACCC chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb told Neil Mitchell the highest fine ever handed out was $400 million and they’re looking to beat that, highlighting two key points why they’ve launched legal action against the airline.

“We think it sets the right message about the importance of higher fines to hold large companies to account, to their consumers,” Ms Cass-Gottlieb told Neil Mitchell.
