‘Absolutely shocking’: Pro-Palestine protestors slammed after attack on Jewish professor’s office

The Shadow Minister for Education has slammed an “absolutely shocking” attack on a Jewish university professor earlier this week.

University of Melbourne physics professor Steven Prawer was the subject of the sit-in attack, which saw protestors storm his office at the university’s Parkville campus.

Sarah Henderson told Jacqui Felgate it was time Prime Minister Anthony Albanese took more action against individuals such as those who stormed the professor’s office.

“It is absolutely shocking,” Ms Henderson said on 3AW Drive.

“They clearly only want to traumatise and inflict as much pain and suffering on Jewish academics.”

The university later provided a statement to 3AW, saying they were “shocked and appalled” when made aware of the incident.
