Victoria’s Youth Governor joined Neil Mitchell on Thursday to discuss the differences between his generation and Baby Boomers.

Kergen Angel, 23, rejected suggestions “Zoomers” were “naive” and out of touch with reality when it came to dealing with the world’s challenges.

“I think we are actually more in-tune than any other generation,” he said.

He said inaction on climate change remained a point of pain for people his age.

“We need to sweat more now, so we bleed less later,” he said.

“We need our older generations, in particular, who have access to the levers to make decisions to actually start making those decisions.”

Neil Mitchell then asked Mr Angel a few rapid-fire questions about issues and how he felt.
