Fabulous beer venue the Local Taphouse in St Kilda is hosting an exclusive showcase of nineteen beers from legendary Californian brewery Sierra Nevada at their ‘Sierra Nevada Beer SpecTAPular’, thirteen of those will be on tap for the first time in Australia (think Mint Stout, Cranberry Sauce Saison and Hopricot and Sunset Sour Saison). This one’s a bit whacky! To celebrate the launch of direct Qantas flights from Melbourne to Tokyo Narita, Japan’s National Tourism Organisation is bringing the Taste of Japan Yummy Fun Truck to town. They’ve worked with Gelato Messina to develop eight amazing and unusual flavour combos (including Make my Dai Dai and Wasa-Beri). The ice cream’s free and you could win one of five amazing holidays for two people to Japan courtesy of Qantas.
