A Moveable Feast: Kate’s Eats for July 15
VICTORIA, THE GARDEN STATE
Does Melbourne need another pub? Does the question need to be asked? The Garden State has opened at the top end of Flinders Lane, it’s a huge development (2000 sq metres) with lots of different dining options – a Garden Grill, ‘Rose Garden’, front bar and innovative short-order kiosk for quick food and mobile alerts. I got a sneak peak yesterday and it really is an impressive set up. Stunning design, lots of room (so hopefully no queues, or long waits for drinks and food), it just has a great feel and the food was top notch.
NIGHT MARKET NOSH
If you can’t beat winter, embrace it! And the best way to do that is at the Madame Brussels Lane European Night Market, which will be held every Friday from July 22 to August 12. Rug up, and enjoy the European Christmas market feel – be transported to Switzerland, Australia, Germany and the UK, enjoy br?l?e, polish dumplings, fondue, crepes, and flammkuchen (seriously – I have no idea).
