Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett will become the 16th sportsperson to be honoured with a statue outside the MCG.

The MCC announced on Wednesday the champion footballer would be immortalised in bronze next year.

He will join the likes of Leigh Matthews and Ron Barassi with statues outside the home of football.
