Sugary drinks have been banned across 13 health services in Western Victoria.
The ban applies to fruit juice and soft drink, and applies to Barwon Health, Colac Area Health, and Lorne Community Hospital, among others.
Barwon Health interim chief executive Paul Cohen told Neil Mitchell it’s aimed at addressing growing levels of obesity.
‘We’re leading by example,’ Mr Cohen said.
‘These drinks are contributing to the chronic disease epidemic, and we’re going to stop making profits from them.’
