Despite Patrick Dangerfield being widely recognised as the best player in the AFL, Matthew Lloyd believes Dangerfield’s counterpart Joel Selwood is the player opposition teams should be tagging.

Dangerfield is having arguably the best season of his career and Lloyd said Selwood could be the more realistic player to shut down.

‘He’s too hard to tag I think, Dangerfield,’ Lloyd said on Sports Today.

‘I just think that Selwood’s one you can get under his skin a lot more.

‘He’s not as quick as Dangerfield or as explosive.’
