A Donald Trump supporter has defended the potential US president’s handling of the Orlando shooting on 3AW.

Trump’s been accused of political ‘point-scoring’ and making the tragedy ‘about himself’ ??in the wake of the tragedy.

But speaking from America, Shaun Burris told Tony Jones the controversial candidate was simply speaking the truth.

‘This man has been saying since day one ? folks, we’ve got to tighten up ? we’re being invaded,’ he said on 3AW Mornings.

‘Our people are being slayed in the street. We’ve got to do something.’
