Cyclist ‘hits, abuses’ Richmond couple walking on Yarra Boulevard
A Richmond couple say they were left shaken, injured and sore when they were struck by a cyclist and abused while walking along Yarra Boulevard.
Desi Leary detailed the incident to Neil Mitchell and said the cyclist failed to ring his bell and give them any warning.
She said they spent Tuesday afternoon in hospital after they were struck.
‘He hit us, within 20-30 seconds we realised what had occurred, he got up and started yelling at us,’ she said.
‘We were gobsmacked.’
The cyclist called an ambulance for them but ‘got off the phone and started yelling’ before riding off.
