Family flees after waking to sound of fire in their Glen Waverley home

A family with two young children has managed to flee with their lives after waking to the sound of a ferocious fire in their Glen Waverley home.
Fire crews were on scene within a couple of minutes to extinguish the blaze.
The lounge, kitchen and roof of the Parsons Avenue home have been extensively damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
