Atheist Foundation Australia’s ‘no religion’ Census bid
The Atheist Foundation of Australia has launched a campaign to encourage Australians leaning towards atheism to mark ‘no religion’ on their Census forms.
The foundation’s president Kylie Sturgess said it was time for Australians to think critically about their religious state.
She said Australians who think they are ‘falling into the gap’ might consider putting down ‘no religion’.
‘Let’s see whether or not Australia really is a secular country,’ she told Neil Mitchell.
‘Are you someone who has fallen out of being a religious person? Maybe now is the time to think whether or not you are just comfortable being no religion.’
