A body has been found in a waterway at Mooroolbark in Melbourne’s East.

The discovery was made by a 13-year-old girl near the local railway station at about 2pm.

Tom Elliott spoke with Karen O’Sullivan from Seven News who says the body is still in the water.

Search and Rescue officers are working to recover the remains.

It is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
