Malcolm Turnbull won’t support Kevin Rudd’s bid to become head of the United Nations.

It follows fierce criticism from Neil Mitchell towards politicians who had ‘insulted’ Australia by backflipping on their stance towards to former Prime Minister.

Neil Mitchell didn’t hold back on Friday morning, before the announcement.

‘This is a man both sides of politics described as almost psychopathic,’ the 3AW Mornings host said of Rudd.

‘And they want him to run the United Nations?’

‘I think it’s disgraceful, I think it’s insulting, I think it’s transparent – we are not that stupid.

‘We can see what they’re up to.

‘I mean, seriously?’
