Leigh Matthews is stumped by the Western Bulldogs’ decision to spend Thursday night in Geelong.

The Dogs have made the trip down the highway and will stay the night before Friday night’s blockbuster against the Cats.

Melbourne-based teams almost always travel on the day of a game.

‘I must admit, I can’t really quite believe the Bulldogs are choosing to do that,’ the AFL legend said on Sports Today.
