Union concerned workers fatigued due to round-the-clock level crossing works

Unions have raised concerns at the safety at level crossing removal sites, after a couple of serious incidents in recent days.

A crane crew member lost a finger, a steel fixer dislocated his shoulder, while there was a near miss involving a bulldozer at the work site on the Frankston line.

The CFMEU says workers are fatigued as the job to remove three crossings is being done round-the-clock to minimise disruptions for commuters.
