NSW Premier Mike Baird is under pressure to back down on his greyhound ban after it was revealed much of the evidence he based his decision on was old, or flawed.

One of the most damning pieces of evidence was a breeder admitting he drowned greyhound pups.

But it’s since been revealed that breeder was from America and the incident occurred in 2005.

The NSW government made the landmark decision to shut down the sport earlier this month on the back of public pressure from the live-baiting scandal.

Mr Baird said it he didn’t believe the industry was not capable of reform.

Many trainers have vowed to fight the decision.
