If you saw more people than usual staring at their phones over the weekend, they may have been playing Pokemon Go.

It’s the latest smartphone game that uses GPS technology to incorporate gameplay into the real world.

And it’s captivating people of all ages.

3AW listener Mick, who turns 70 this month, told Tony Jones his son got him into it.

‘I believe it’s essential, even at my age, to keep up-to-date with all the apps,’ Mick said.

‘Then you can have a good conversation with the younger generation.’

18-year-old Kieren told Tony he’s never seen an app like it.

‘We found ourselves staying up until 3am just wandering around,’ he said.
