Malaria has been a blight on the world for centuries.

It is a debilitating mosquito born disease, which requires medication before and during travels to areas prone to the disease across the world.

Queensland scientists believe they might have a potential cure in the form of a synthetic protein. 

Dr Michelle Wykes from QIMR explained the possible cure to Ross Greenwood on Money News.
