A disturbing website that has published thousands of graphic and sexually explicit images of young girls and women should encourage parents to talk about the dangers of online with their children, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg says.

It’s been reported users can rate those featured in the photos, as well as trade and swap graphic images amongst the online group.

3AW Mornings program psychologist Dr Carr-Gregg said it was a highly disturbing. 

He said it was important parents were across their child’s online activities, and taught them how to use the social media platforms appropriately. 

‘(Parents should) use it as a teachable moment, go and explain to them what’s happened, and ask them, do you want a picture of yourself on a porn site in Vladivostok?’
