Man allegedly punched in the head fifteen times during violent home robbery at Hamlyn Heights
A 93-year-old man and his 67-year-old son have become victims of a violent home invasion near Geelong.
Neil Mitchell described the incident as – ‘Another disgusting, appalling home invasion.’
Police told Neil Mitchell the offender used a hose to flood the rear of the home in Hamlyn Heights.
When the 93-year-old resident opened the door to look around 7pm on Monday.
He was pulled from the home, then fled to his neighbour’s home for help.
Meanwhile inside, the man’s 67-year-old son was allegedly punched in the head more than 15 times and kicked as he was mugged.
The offender then threatened him with a knife before fleeing.
Detective Sergeant Adam Forehan from the Geelong CIU believed the offender had earlier been checking out the home.
