Home improvement chain Masters is closing down.

3AW Drive was told the franchise had been unable to find a buyer after Woolworths opted out of the business in January.

That has since been confirmed.

In an internal statement leaked to 3AW Drive, the company told employees all stores would remain open for 12 to 14 weeks before shutting the doors permanently.

A final closing date is yet to be finalised.
