Police are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Berwick on Thursday night.
The Rumour File heard on Friday that 12 police cars and the dog squad were called to a property in Melbourne’s south-east.
It is now believed five men, one armed with a knife and firearm, broke into a house on Maryn Close in Berwick just before midnight.
Two men and a pregnant woman were home at the time.
The two male occupants were assaulted receiving non-life threatening injuries and the pregnant woman was threatened with a knife but was uninjured.
The offenders fled in a stolen silver Holden Station Wagon with registration 1GO 5SH, which was stolen in an aggravated burglary in Chelsea earlier in the afternoon.
The men have been described as Caucasian in appearance and were all wearing black clothing.
