Hawthorn’s dynasty is on the line under the MCG’s Friday night lights.
The Hawks are hanging on to their dreams of a historic fourth successive flag by a thread.
They gave their all and more against the Cats last week, only to suffer a deflating defeat at the death.
The Bulldogs, riding high after knocking off the Eagles in Perth, will be gunning for a spot in the Prelim finals.
The stage is set for the Dogs to put this proud Hawthorn side to the sword.
Will the Doggies announce themselves as the new guard? Or have we all jumped off the Hawks too soon ? again?
