Neil Mitchell says The Greens gave Pauline Hanson ‘want she wants’ by walking out of the Senate
Neil Mitchell says The Greens gave Pauline Hanson ‘exactly what she wants’ by walking out of the Senate while she delivered her maiden speech.
But Greens leader Richard Di Natale has defended the controversial move.
Neil Mitchell rejected much of what Ms Hanson said during her speech on Wednesday, branding it both divisive and harmful.
‘The anti-Muslim argument from Pauline Hanson is predictable, I repeat, (but) she is entitled to it,’ the 3AW Mornings host explained.
He said the walkout had only drawn more attention to what Ms Hanson had said.
‘It gives her more of what she wants – attention,’ Neil said.
But Richard Di Natale said he and his party weren’t going to sit and cop Ms Hanson’s rhetoric.
‘Those comments were disgraceful, divisive and hateful,’ he said.
