A ‘real’ clown has teed off on those dressing up in costume and scaring people.

Police have been on high-alert of late, with disturbing numbers of people participating in the craze.

Koko The Clown told Ross and John his business had been affected as a result, to the point he hadn’t been invited to an upcoming Halloween event he’d previously been asked to.

‘I’m keeping a low profile for the next few weeks,’ Koko told 3AW Breakfast.

‘It’s just ridiculous.

‘They’re not really clowns.’
