Melbourne is heading towards its hottest March ever
Melbourne is heading towards its hottest March ever, with average temperatures sitting at 28 degrees so far this month.
The hottest ever March was in 1940, with an average of 28.9 degrees and included two days above 40.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Peter Newham, telling 3AW News, 28 degrees is four degrees above average.
‘That looks like continuing for the next few days at least, so, at this rate it looks like being, if not the hottest, one of the hottest March’s on record for Melbourne.’
